Theme of the lesson: Health ( Real Conditional
Sentences)
Goals of the lesson:
Educational: to expand the knowledge of the theme
“Health”, to explain the grammar ‘ Real Conditional”, to give clear explanation
to example situations
Developing: to develop SS speaking abilities on the
theme, SS memory, logic thinking, outlooks, word source, and increase their
interest in learning English.
Up-bringing: to bring them up to take care of their
health, be cooperative, patient, polite.
Equipment: cards, pictures, paper, tape recorder.
Procedures:
I.
Organization
moment: greeting, pledge.
II.
Warm
up: tongue-twister: Take Tony’s temperature tonight and tomorrow. This task
offers practice of the English sound (T) at the beginning of the words. Make
sound by putting the tongue right behind the top of teeth and then moving it to
release quite a big puff of air.

sound [T]: SS say words which begin with sound [T] , for example, tomato,
teeth, teacher…
III Presentation of the theme. Pay attention
to the board with a proverb:
“He
who has health has hope ,and who has hope has everything”
All
of us want to be healthy and happy, but what should we to keep our health for
many years?
Brain
storm: What influences our health / good and bad habits/
Ideas:
sleep enough, healthy food, exercises,hygiene,junk food, computer addiction,
smoking, stress, physical inactivity.
SS
present their plan of staying healthy.
IV Grammar
presentation. Real Condition expresses the possible situations
and probable
result that may happen in future.
If
I am healthy, I’ll happy. If I work hard, I’ll get good mark.
Drill:
IF V, will, won’t V.
-Make
sentences by changing pronouns: If he is healthy, he will be happy….

Training in making negative sentences: If I don’t work hard, I shan’t get good
mark.

Training in making asking sentences: (SS are shown pictures with different
sight of famous places- London, New York, Shymkent, China…) If she goes to
London , will she see Big Ben? Yes, she will.
V. Group work. Telepathy.[cards]
Complete
the sentences, use will. Read the sentences. You get one point for each correct
answer and one extra for each students who wrote the same sentence.
Example,
If you miss the bus you’ll get a taxi.
VI. Match these endings to the sentences. Did
you write the same ending.
( points for the
fastest and correct answers).
VII. Correct the errors in these sentences, be
attentive one sentence is correct.
Check the answers.( points for correct
answer).
Example,
The teacher will be upset if you do your homework. – incorrect.
The
teacher will be upset if you don’t do your homework.- correct
VIII. Work with the poster . Look and analyze
the picture “ Vitamins and
Minerals Are Essential for a healthy
body”.

Make
up sentences, use Real Conditional, follow the pattern:
If
you eat carrots, you will have the good eyes…..

Conclusion.
To sum up information about how to stay healthy, SS listen and complete the
proverbs with the correct words:- Early to bed, early to ___, makes the man
wealthy, healthy, and wise. –An apple a day keeps a _____away. – Health is
better than _____.- Live not to eat, but ____ to live. Comment the work of
students. Count the results.
