Org. moment: · Greeting song: Hello. How are you?(Pupils sing the Hello song) · checking absent pupils Revision of the last task: · Pupils sing the Alphabet song
· Dividing into two groups by choosing the cards: What colour do you like? Red or green? (2 teams: red apples and green apples) · Ask pupils to show the letters. Teacher names the letter, pupils show it. · Make words with cards: PET, TOY, DOG, CAT. The team who first show the word is taken a sticker.
· Pictures of the words from the previous lesson, give pupils to look at them, then ask them to close their eyes and tell you which food item is missing |

Introduction of new theme · Presentation of new words (apples, onions, carrots, pears and tomatoes). Put up the flashcards and say corresponding words, pupils repeat: in chorus and individually
· Play the CD, pupils listen, point to the pictures and repeat the words Main activity: · The Game “Fruit, vegetable or food”. Pupils should take a picture and say what it is, put it on the right column. (It’s an apple. It’s fruit. It’s cheese. It’s food. It’s a tomato. It’s vegetable. )
· Pupils from each team come to the board and choose a picture, others ask questions to guess the word (Is it red? Is it a fruit? Is it a vegetable? Is it a banana?) The team takes the picture and put it in their basket · Ask pupils: What’s in your basket? Pupils answer. · Sing the What’s in your basket? song. Play the CD, pupils listen to the song and sing · Ex.7 p.63 Pupil’s book: Listen and read. Set the scene by asking questions about what they can see in the pictures? What’s in Liam’s basket? What’s in Lily’s basket?
· Play the CD, pupils listen and follow. · Warm up: Clap your hands. Everybody stand up , sing and dance. |
